Pamica sells Somna AB.
Pamica AB, together with its co-investors, has signed an agreement with MedCap (publ) AB through its subsidiary Abilia to sell all shares in Somna AB. It is the first sale in Pamica’s first fund after a holding period of just under three years.
During the time that Pamica owned Somna, it has developed into a company with a flexible and efficient organization under continued stable and high profitability. A work done in collaboration between Somna’s management and Pamica.
Somna has, during the last ten years, established itself as the leading supplier of medically approved weight blankets to primarily Swedish users and has a little over a third of the Swedish market. Somna had sales of approximately 40 MSEK in 2019 with just over 30% EBITDA margin. MedCap, through its subsidiary Abilia, joins Somna on January 31, 2020.
“Pamica went into a sales process in the fall of 2019 and is very pleased to have today signed an agreement with MedCap on the sale of Somna. MedCap is a strategically very good buyer of Somna AB,” says Pamica’s CEO Jan-Olof Svensson.
“It is a milestone that is passed when Pamica now sells its first portfolio company and we hope for continued good development for Somna with their new owners,” says the chairman of Pamica Jan Klippvik.
