Miami, Fla.- 23 September 2010- In the most epic battle the world of advertising and business at large will ever see, victory is spelled S-I-N-G. The American Advertising Federation of Miami’s Battle of the Bands is a musical duel of industry talents that captures the competitive spirit of advertising and the voting practice of American Idol. The power to choose the reigning champions of song is in the hands of those who visit www.aafmiami.com/battleofthebands and vote for their favorites. Did we mention there will be lip-synching and A Pair of Nuts?
Yamil Piedra and Johnny Trabanco, Miami’s uproarious comedy duo “A Pair of Nuts” hosts of El Vacilon on Mega TV and featured on Comedy Central's Tosh.0, Last Call with Carson Daly, VH1 and BET, host the musical face off starting online now. The challenge is open to all bands with at least one member belonging to AAF or working for a member organization. AAF supports the industry by providing a variety of ways to educate and stimulate the advertising work force. The Battle of Bands is its latest endeavor to drum up friendly competition, creativity and sweet tunes.
Participants should go online and submit a video of their band in action for the title of “The Most Awesome Band” and the coveted “Golden Guitar” award. And, if you can’t hold a tune, please do us all a favor and submit your lip-synching video for “The Most Amazing Music Video by a Non Band” title and the “Golden Lips” trophy, which is still pretty awesome.
Deadline to submit videos is October 17th. Online voting will run from October 20-28th, and the top 3 voted bands from each category will compete at the Battle of the Bands Bash November 10th. For more information on the challenge, please visit www.aafmiami.com/battleofthebands for a brief tutorial by A Pair of Nuts.
