Leading aircraft charter specialist, Air Charter Service, has seen a sharp increase in bookings for the upcoming World Cup as the tournament rapidly approaches and registration for airport slots in Brazil opens.

With less than a month to go until the tournament gets underway on 12th June, the company is busy arranging aircraft charters for various sets of supporters, teams, sponsors and other VIPs. Justin Bowman, ACS’s CEO, explains more: “With the matches being spaced out across the entire country and at 12 different stadia, transportation becomes a key part of the World Cup planning process for teams and for those following their nations around. For example, England’s first game in Manaus on 14th June is almost 2,500 miles away from their next match in Sao Paulo five days later. The most comfortable way of doing that particular journey is by chartered aircraft as players need to arrive refreshed and relaxed without having to worry about long airport queues and all the other hassles of flying on scheduled aircraft.”

Bowman continued: “We have taken bookings for national teams, players’ families, supporters, sponsors, incentive groups from all over the world and even a whole nation’s media. Having our Brazilian office has proven vital in scheduling these charters. Registration for business aviation slots during the tournaments duration only opened on 15th May and our Brazilian colleagues have been working with us to obtain the optimum timings for our clients.”
