Aixia signs five-year agreement with Swedish university for the AI platform AiQu
Gothenburg 2026-06-17
Aixia today announces that a Swedish university has selected the company’s proprietary AI platform AiQu as the foundation for its initiatives in AI education and AI development. The agreement initially runs for five years and has an estimated initial value of approximately SEK 1 million, with potential for expansion as the university continues to develop its AI initiatives.
By choosing AiQu, the university’s students, researchers and development teams gain access to a modern platform for developing, training and operating AI models in a secure, scalable and flexible environment. The platform is designed to simplify AI workflows, from experimentation and education to more advanced development and research environments.
A key advantage of AiQu is that the platform is hardware independent. This means that the university is free to use GPUs and CPUs from different manufacturers, avoiding lock-in to a specific hardware vendor. The platform can also be deployed across different environments, including local data centers, private clouds and public clouds. This provides the university with significant flexibility to choose the infrastructure that best fits each educational, research or development need.
AiQu is also designed to enable high utilization of costly AI infrastructure. Through efficient scheduling, queue management and prioritization of compute resources, the platform helps multiple users and projects share available GPU and CPU resources in a controlled and efficient way. For organizations investing in AI infrastructure, this is an important factor, as higher utilization can improve return on investment and make advanced AI capacity available to more users.
The platform also supports secure multi-tenancy. This means that multiple users, research groups, courses or projects can use the same underlying AI infrastructure while remaining separated from each other. Users get access to their own environments, data and models without unauthorized access from others. This allows the university to combine high resource efficiency with security, control and clear separation between different user groups.
AiQu is fully developed in Sweden by Aixia. The choice of platform therefore also supports Swedish technology development, Swedish AI expertise and Swedish digital sovereignty. At a time when AI is becoming increasingly strategically important for education, research, industry and society, Aixia views this as a significant development.
"We are very pleased that a Swedish university has chosen AiQu as the platform for its AI education and continued AI development. It is particularly encouraging to see Swedish-developed technology playing a role in building the AI expertise of the future. AiQu is developed to give users freedom, security and high resource utilization, regardless of whether the infrastructure is located in a local data center, a private cloud or a public cloud", says Mattias Bergkvist, CEO of Aixia.
The agreement strengthens Aixia’s position within software platforms for AI development and demonstrates the growing demand for flexible, secure and sovereign solutions for organizations looking to build and develop their own AI capabilities.
