This unit serves the Mining and Metals industry worldwide, providing a full range of contracting services from feasibility studies through full, EPCM projects.  Other Metals offices are located in Santiago, Chile; Toronto, Ontario (Canada), San Ramon, California; and Salt Lake City, Utah.  The unit also cooperates closely with Aker Kvaerner's Australian operations to support Metals projects in Australia and the Pacific Rim, and with the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office of Kvaerner U.S. Inc. for projects in the Iron & Steel industry.

The location at Aker Kvaerner's U.S. headquarters, which employs more than 700 people in Houston, will allow significant synergy with other Aker Kvaerner business units, with resulting cost efficiency, as well as provide access to a significant resource pool of EPCM talent.

This positive integration step is being taken to increase capability and opportunities in the global Metals business.
