The contract has been signed with Aker Kvaerner Offshore Partner. Aker Kvaerner Elektro and Aker Moere Montasje will also contribute in the execution. In addition,  Linjebygg Offshore AS will be subcontractor for insulation, scaffolding and surface treatment.

"Aker Kvaerner has had a long-lasting cooperation with Norske Shell through the existing maintenance and modification contract for the Draugen platform. The new contract confirms our competitiveness," says Mr. Tore Sjursen, President of Aker Kvaerner Offshore Partner.

Engineering will be done in Stavanger and Kristiansund, and prefabrication will mainly be done at Aker Moere Montasje's facilities in Kristiansund. The contract implies that Aker Kvaerner Offshore Partner and Aker Kvaerner Elektro will recruit about 20 people in Kristiansund within management and engineering. There will also be recruited key technical personnel in the Aukra/Molde region.

This contract signifies a strengthening of Aker Kvaerner's activities in Mid-Norway, and a strengthening of the group's  involvement in the onshore based maintenance and modification market for oil and gas.
