Aker Solutions starts recruiting for 6th International Talent Programme

The programme is an intensive two-year on-the-job learning experience, consisting of three eight-month assignments, covering different roles, businesses and locations within Aker Solutions' global network of offices and technology and manufacturing centres.

This round's intake of some of the oil and gas industry's brightest young talents is the sixth since 2006. The previous intake, in 2011, attracted almost 1 400 applicants.

Both domestic passport holders and foreign nationals are eligible to apply from the five countries: Brazil, Malaysia, Norway, UK and USA.

"The objective of the International Talent Programme is to attract and develop talents that will build our company globally. We recruit talents from some of our strategic growth regions. By giving them various assignments throughout the organisation, they will be able to share their experiences from different business segments, regions and cultures. This is an important part of realising our international growth ambitions", says programme manager Anette Bjerke.

Aker Solutions provides oilfield products, systems and services for customers in the oil and gas industry. The company employs approximately 25 000 people in more than 30 countries world-wide.

"I would like to encourage everyone who fulfils the entry requirements to apply as we are looking for several different individuals and personal qualities. In total we expect to select approximately 15 candidates in total from the five countries we are recruiting from this year," adds Bjerke.

A typical candidate for the programme has recently graduated with a business degree at master level, preferably with an additional engineering degree. Being a global programme, international exposure is a requirement along with fluency in English.

In addition to the three eight-month assignments, candidates will regularly attend workshops around the world where participants on the programme are brought together to discuss progress and share experiences. Each talent will also be teamed up with a personal mentor who has extensive experience and coaching abilities, and will follow the talent throughout the programme to facilitate personal and professional development.

The application period for the sixth International Talent Programme opens today. Application deadline is 11 November. Further details can be found on www.akersolutions.com/talent
