Finn Berg Jacobsen has, with his background as State Authorized Public Accountant (Norway) and extensive top management experience, been central during the successful merger between Aker and Kvaerner and the subsequent extensive restructuring, completed in April 2004. Going forward, Beg Jacobsen will be working with the Oslo law firm BAHR, and he will also be doing some engagements for Aker Kvaerner and other companies in the Aker system.

Executive Vice President Jon Erik Reinhardsen, currently based in the US, will return to Norway. Within the corporate management, Reinhardsen has been responsible for following up the business areas Oil, Gas, Process & Energy, Subsea and Products & Technology. In particular, he has been responsible for business development, strategy, and enhancing the project execution models used by Aker Kvaerner.

After returning to Norway, Reinhardsen will, in addition to his current responsibilities   assume some of the staff responsibilities currently under Berg Jacobsen. Chief Financial Officer Bjørn Erik Næss will assume the remaining staff responsibilities in addition to his current ones. 

The businesses managed out of the USA have a strong market position after the last few years of restructuring. Gary Mandel, head of the business area Oil, Gas Process & Energy will get an extended role in further developing this position after Reinhardsen's move to Norway.
