DuPont Engineering grants five-year contract to Aker Kvaerner/BE&K joint venture

4 December 2007 - JBEK, an Aker Kvaerner and BE&K joint venture has been awarded a five-year alliance contract from DuPont Engineering to be the provider of engineering, procurement, and construction management services for U.S. plant based projects up to USD 10 million in total authorized capital.


A network of site teams and regional offices consisting of Aker Kvaerner and BE&K staff will provide the engineering, procurement, and construction management services for DuPont facilities in the United States.

Aker Kvaerner has long since operated in joint venture with BE&K on numerous DuPont projects.  Aker Kvaerner's Plant Services business unit, whose main operations are in Charleston, West Virginia has several locations in North America/USA and is currently delivering projects with the alliance spanning from Parkersburg, West Virginia to Deer Park, Texas. Aker Kvaerner's Plant Services is employing approximately 580 multi-discipline employees.
