Mumbai - Uran Terminal Pipeline Project

This major subsea detail design project is the largest subsea pipeline project to be awarded in India this year. Aker Kvaerner's Singapore office is the group's centre of excellence for subsea pipelines, and the new contract confirms the company's position as the preferred consultant for integrated pipeline and subsea projects in the Asia Pacific Region.


The submarine pipeline system, comprising over 500km of submarine pipelines, includes two main trunk lines bringing oil and gas from the field operator Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.'s (ONGC) MNW platform to the land fall point at Mumbai Uran Terminal. The trunk lines are joined by several feeder lines connected to other ONGC platforms along its route to the land fall point. The system includes 8 new risers, 9 I-tubes, 22 subsea laterals, 1 subsea tie-in and 9 subsea intervention valves.


HHI have been awarded main contract by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd, India (ONGC) to develop the Mumbai High and Bassein Fields for enhanced oil and gas production.
