New SVP of Corporate Communications

12 September 2007 - Jannik Lindbæk jr. has been appointed senior vice president of Corporate Communications at Aker Kvaerner. Lindbæk will start in his new position 1 January 2008. Currently Lindbæk is partner at BWPR, an Oslo-based communications consultancy agency.


Previously Lindbæk was director of corporate communications at Microsoft Norway from 2003 till 2006. Prior to that Lindbæk was a senior consultant at GCI Monsen where he worked for Aker Kvaerner on a number of projects. Before that Lindbæk was secretary to the board and adviser at the Norwegian Guarantee institute for export credits.


In his capacity as adviser and director, Lindbæk has a solid experience from managing both strategic and operative work and processes within the field of corporate communications.  Lindbæk has a Cand. Polit degree in Comparative Government, Economics and History from the University of Bergen, and has a MSc from London School of Economics.

Lindbæk succeeds Torbjorn S. Andersen as SVP for Corporate Communications. On 4 September, Andersen announced that he would leave Aker Kvaerner in order to establish a consultancy partnership business. Andersen will remain in the position as SVP Corporate Communications at Aker Kvaerner until Lindbæk takes over in January 2008.
