O&G Solutions completes rebuild of Santos fire damaged plant

O&G Solutions has the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) Alliance Contract with Santos. The joint venture responded immediately following the incident to assist in the restoration of Santos' oil and gas production capabilities. 280 project personnel have been working to rebuild the LRP Train-A.  The O&G Solutions team worked closely with Santos personnel to assist in the assessment, demolition and rebuilding of the fire affected areas. The project has now been completed whilst meeting the desired target of zero recordable health, safety and environmental incidents.

A full EPC approach was adopted with O&G Solutions providing support for all ancillary projects related to business loss mitigation and fire rebuild. A site based team was mobilised in early January to scope the project and a full project management, design and procurement team were mobilised in Adelaide in February.

Both the A and B liquids recovery trains had not been operating since being damaged in the fire.  The successful reinstatment of Train-A, one of two liquids recovery plants at the Moomba operation represents a significant milestone towards returning the Moomba plant to normal production levels.

Mr Steve Sandler, Chairman of O&G Solutions said, "This significant achievement has been a truly collaborative effort by all involved.  A strong alliance spirit exists between Santos and O&G Solutions.  One of Santos' reasons for pursuing an alliance was to be able to leverage from a broader skills base, and to be able to draw from a larger pool of capable resources as and when required.  'Customer focus' is one our core corporate values and this achievement perfectly embodies our values and leadership approach and unwavering commitment to our customers".

O&G Solutions is now proceeding with work on the reinstatement on LRP Train-B to be completed in late August.
