RoSPA Gold Award to Aker Kvaerner China

Report this content
The RoSPA Gold award is achieved following a Merit Award issued in 2001, a Bronze Award achieved in 2002 and a Silver Award won in 2003. These awards are  given to companies who can demonstrate a reduction in the number of accidents and ill heath. Aker Kvaerner China had to produce supporting documentation as to how this was successfully managed with a very strong global (HSE) health, safety and environmental mindset.

John McClellan, President of Aker Kvaerner E&C (Shanghai) Co., Ltd (Aker Kvaerner China), mentioned that "Mark Howard, Manager of HSE and his team put one hundred percent of their effort and total dedication in HSE thus achieving this award.  I would like to congratulate Mark and his team and we are sure to keep this high standard of HSE mindset at all times with such committed personnel."

McClellan added: "In a challenging environment this is a good reflection of hard work the China operations personnel put into managing HSE. This award is also evidence that HSE mindset is one of our core values and that this is part of a strong global organisational culture".
