Senior VP of Corporate Communications leaves Aker Kvaerner

06 September 2007 - Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications in Aker Kvaerner, Torbjørn S. Andersen, has decided to leave Aker Kvaerner to join a consultancy partnership. A process to appoint his successor has started, and is expected to be concluded shortly. Andersen will remain in his position until the successor is in place and he has also agreed to provide communication consultancy services to Aker Kvaerner throughout 2008.


Andersen started his career in the Aker group as manager of PR and Information for Aker's engineering activities in 1989. Since then, he has held various management positions within communications and marketing in Aker and Aker Kvaerner.  Andersen has held the position of Senior Vice President of Aker Kvaerner's Corporate Communications since 2004.

In his role as SVP of Corporate Communications, Andersen's primary responsibilities have been internal communication, external communication and investor relations, brand building and reputation management for Aker Kvaerner's global organisation.
