Aker Solutions wins Kristin low pressure production (LPP) modification contract

22 December 2010 - Aker Solutions has won a contract to build and install a new compressor module on the Statoil-operated Kristin platform in the Norwegian Sea. ConocoPhillips has conditionally awarded a contract for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the topside module for the Ekofisk 2/4 Z platform to Aker Solutions. The contract award is subject to project approval by the PL018 license group, and Norwegian authorities' approval of the plan for development and operation (PDO). The PL018 approval is planned for the first quarter 2011 and PDO approval in the second quarter of 2011. 29 October 2010 - Statoil exercises a one year option to extend its contract with Aker Solutions at the Mongstad refinery in Norway. The estimated contract value for 2011 totals approximately NOK 100 million and the work will occupy about 120 employees from Aker Solutions in Bergen, Norway. The oil refinery at Mongstad is a modern highly-upgraded plant with an annual capacity of 10 million tonnes of crude. It is the largest facility of its kind in Norway.
