Fornebuporten, a subsidiary of Aker ASA, has agreed to forward sell three office buildings at Aberdeen International Business Park ("AIBP") to UK annuity fund Legal & General Property at an agreed price of GBP 127 million.

The sales agreement comprises the first phase development of Aberdeen International Business Park, which is expected to be completed in first quarter 2015. The three office buildings have, as previously announced, been let out to Aker Solutions on a 20 year lease with an initial annual rent of GBP 7.74 million.

Fornebuporten continues to hold 22 acre of attractive land at AIBP. The company is now looking at a potential second phase development of the business park including the development of more offices and a hotel.

Fornebuporten profit from sale of shares in connection with the transaction is estimated at GBP 13 million.

Following the sale, Fornebuporten is expected to return NOK 1.0 billion to Aker ASA. The sale is in accordance with Aker ASA's strategy to release NOK 3.0 billion from its Financial Investments within 2015.

Aberdeen International Business Park
AIBP was acquired in early 2013. The site is immediately adjacent to Aberdeen International Airport and offers multi-national companies a combination of the best buildings and facilities in the Aberdeen market as well as the closest proximity to the Airport for easy national and international travel.

In the park's first phase, three buildings of approximately 31 000 square meters are under construction for completion in the first quarter of 2015. All three buildings have been leased by Aker Solutions.
