AKER CAPITAL INCREASES STAKES IN AKER INVEST

Aker Invest`s largest single investment is its holding of 23.7 percent of Odim ASA shares, a company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Aker Invest also wholly owns the industrial company Midsund Bruk and has some vessel ownership interests.

Further, Aker Capital is acquiring 4.7 percent of the shares in Aker Oilfield Services from Aker Yards for NOK 22 million. The share acquisition values Aker Oilfield Services at USD 80 million; Aker owns about 50 percent of the newly established offshore oilfield services company.
