Dry well on the Storkinn prospect in PL 408
Det norske oljeselskap ASA, operator of production licence 408, has completed the drilling of wildcat well 15/9-24. The well, which was dry, was drilled southwest of the Sleipner Øst field in the central part of the North Sea.
The well will now be permanently plugged and abandoned. The licence was awarded in APA 2006.
Well 15/9-24 was drilled by semi submersible drilling rig Bredford Dolphin. This was the last well for this rig on contract for Det norske.
