Aktia raises its prime rate to 3.00 per cent as of 3 May 2006

Aktia Savings Bank plc raises its prime rate by 0.25 percentage points to 3.00
per cent due to increase in overall market rates, a better economic climate in
Europe, and still higher inflation expectations. The new rate shall apply from 3
May 2006.
