Asko Rintala resigns his position with Aktia Savings Bank

Deputy Managing Director Asko Rintala has announced his resignation from Aktia
Savings Bank Plc as of 1 November 2005.

Mr. Rintala has last been a member of the Bank's Executive Committee with
particular responsibility for the branch offices in Helsinki and Vantaa. He has
also acted as Managing Director's alternate. He has worked at Aktia since 1995.

Mr. Rintala's responsibilities will be allocated between the other members of the
Executive Committee.

The bank's Board has appointed deputy Managing Director Jarl Sved as Managing
Director's alternate.

Aktia's Executive Committee consists of Managing Director Mikael Ingberg, Deputy
Managing Director Robert Sergelius, Deputy Managing Director Jarl Sved, General
Manager Merja Hellberg, General Manager Olav Uppgård, General Manager Sven
Åström, and Staff Representative Marit Leinonen.
