Hammarén and Wilkman new members of Aktia's Board

At its meeting on 24 November 2005, the Board of Supervisors of Aktia Savings
Bank plc elected Lars-Olof Hammarén and Nina Wilkman as new members of the Board
of Directors for the year 2006. Vice chairman of the Board Lasse Koivu resigns at
his own request. Koivu has been a member of Aktia's Board since 1994.

Lars-Olof Hammarén, born 1942, Engineer, serves currently as a member of Board of
Directors of e.g. Kyro Corporation and Tecnomen Corporation, as well as the
annuity insurance institute Hereditas. Nina Wilkman, born 1958, Attorney at Law,
is a partner at the law firm Borenius & Kemppinen and has positions of trust in
e.g. Central Chamber of Commerce in Finland and Stiftelsen Arcada.

Dag Wallgren was elected new vice chairman, and Kaj-Gustaf Bergh continues as
chairman of the Board.
