HENRY WIKLUND CONTINUES AS CHAIRMAN OF AKTIA'S BOARD OF SUPERVISORS


At its meeting yesterday, the Board of Supervisors of Aktia Savings Bank plc
reelected Henry Wiklund, Director of the Swedish Literature Society in Finland,
Honorary Councillor, chairman of the Board of Supervisors for 2005.

At the same time Margareta Pietikäinen, M.A., was appointed Vice Chairman of
Aktia's Board of Supervisors. Bo Forslund, Vice Chairman of the Board of
Directors of FöreningsSparbanken AB, Henrik Sundbäck, M.Sc.(Agriculture and
Forestry), Lorenz Uthardt, Agrologist, Honorary Councillor, and Bo-Gustav
Wilson, M.Sc.(Econ.), will continue to serve as Vice Chairmen of the Board of
Supervisors.
