CHANGES IN AKTIA SAVINGS BANK SHAREHOLDING

NOTIFICATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 2, SUB-SECTION 10 OF THE SECURITIES
MARKET ACT CONCERNING CHANGES IN AKTIA SAVINGS BANK SHAREHOLDING


Aktia Savings Bank Plc has been informed that through a purchase of shares
executed today 7 July 2005, The annuity insurance institute Livränteanstalten
Hereditas has increased its shareholding from 1,800,000 shares to
3,600,000 shares of the total number of Aktia Savings Bank Plc shares of
35,298,050, therefore now holding 10.20% of shares and voting rights.

The bank has also been informed that Oy Hammarén & Co Ab through a purchase of
today 7 July 2005 has acquired 1,800,000 Aktia Savings Bank Plc shares and thus
holding 5.10% of  shares and voting rights.

Likewise Aktia Savings Bank Plc  has been informed that FöreningsSparbanken AB
(publ) has reduced its shareholding to 3,400,000 shares or 9.63%.

The five largest shareholders of Aktia Savings Bank Plc and their holdings are
now
           1. Helsingfors Savings Bank Foundation             20,5 %
           2. Livränteanstalten Hereditas                     10,2 %
           3. FöreningsSparbanken AB (publ)                    9,6 %
           4. Esbo-Grankulla Savings Bank Foundation           6,2 %
           5. Oy Hammarén & Co Ab                              5,1 %
