Together with the iBAC app, this new fuel cell based breathalyser provides accurate blood alcohol measurements and backs up the results with images and GPS positions. Thanks to its professional grade and reliable values, the app can be used by everyone from commercial drivers to holidaymakers.

In a world where over 10 billion units are connected and where there is an ever-increasing demand for smart solutions, it is the perfect time for the Swedish innovation company to take the enormous step of presenting its cloud connected alcometer, something that the biggest market players only dream of. Alcosystems is approved and available in Apple’s App Store and Google Play. Its corporate solutions are available via Microsoft’s cloud platform Windows Azure.

–      iBAC is an extremely reliable alcometer that is just a fraction of the size of the breathalysers offered by the company’s competitors.  One popular feature of the alcometer is that you can keep it with you, on a key ring for example. Smartphone connection opens up a wealth of opportunities and, besides professional use, it will become as popular among consumers as many of the training apps that have become available, says the innovator Miguel Arias at Swedish Alcosystems.

iBAC is a small and accurate fuel cell based breathalyser that connects to smartphones wirelessly. It is already being used professionally at American penal institutions and Swedish rehab centres. This user-friendly app communicates with and stores results directly on the phone for private users or in a cloud service for commercial use. By taking photographs, recording GPS positions and scanning other units close by, it is simple to ensure that the right person is using the breathalyser.

iBAC has been tested by MHF International road safety test lab and received top marks for its reliability and accuracy.
- Despite the fact that iBAC, from Alcosystems, is one of the smallest alcometers available, its results surpass other commercial breathalysers on the market, says Tomas Jonsson, MD at MHF International road safety test lab.

While it is obvious that organisations should not forgo on quality, it can often be disastrous if a vehicle does not start because of a problem with the alcolock. Drivers that use the iBAC solution can undergo scheduled breathalyser tests before, during and after a shift; a solution that is perfect in jobs where zero alcohol tolerance is of particular importance, e.g. pilots, police, fire fighters, train drivers, commercial drivers, doctors, paramedics etc. The app and breathalyser are extremely simple and intuitive to use and communication between them takes place wirelessly via Bluetooth.
