Alelion has received the largest order to date as Kalmar signs a delivery agreement for high-voltage battery systems
Alelion and Kalmar have signed a delivery agreement regarding development and production of high-voltage battery systems with a value of MSEK 53 over four years.
Kalmar, part of Cargotec, offers a wide range of eco-efficient cargo handling solutions and services to ports, terminals, distribution centers and heavy industry worldwide.
“Alelion and Kalmar have run a joint development project for some years, and we are now happy to announce the next step, which will involve serial production of battery systems from 2022", says Anders Dison, Sales and Marketing Director of Alelion Energy Systems.

Alelion Energy Systems develops and manufactures customized battery systems based on lithium-ion technology, which replace fossil fuels or lead-acid batteries in various types of special vehicles.

In recent years, Alelion Energy Systems has increased its focus on more advanced high-voltage battery systems for special vehicles, a segment in which the company has received a number of important orders. Several customers are now carrying out tests with the product, which is the phase that precedes certification and the start of series production.
