The order is the fourth follow-up order from Terberg Group and the fifth since the two companies signed a cooperation agreement in 2018.

The new order, worth SEK 8 million, will be delivered during the third quarter of 2021. As before, the order also includes service agreements. Terberg's previous orders are in production at Alelion's battery factory in Gothenburg.

"Demand for series-produced battery systems in the special vehicle segment is increasing and this order shows that the change from fossil fuel operation to sustainable electric propulsion has now really picked up speed," says Åsa Nordström, CEO of Alelion Energy Systems.

Alelion Energy Systems develops and manufactures customized battery systems with lithium-ion technology, which replace fossil fuels in various types of special vehicles. In collaboration with Terberg Group, Alelion has developed a battery system for electric terminal tractors, which is used for transport at distribution hubs, port terminals, airports and in industries.

Terberg Group is among the largest independent manufacturers of special vehicles with its own operations in twelve countries. The products include terminal and Ro-Ro tractors.

Alelion Energy Systems began its collaboration with Terberg Group in the autumn of 2018 when the company received a first order for the development of two battery systems adapted to Terberg's special vehicles. The battery systems have been certified in accordance with legal requirements R100 and R10.

In recent years, Alelion Energy Systems has increased its investments in more advanced high-voltage battery systems for special vehicles. The company has received a number of important orders in the segment, including from the Swedish construction machine manufacturer Huddig. Several of these customers are now carrying out tests in the product, which is the phase that precedes certification and the start of series production.
