Alelion Energy Systems AB (publ) has received a new order for high-voltage batteries from the German special vehicle manufacturer KAMAG. The batteries will electrify the driveline in logistic vehicles.

The order amounts to SEK 3,4 million and will be delivered to KAMAG starting in the second quarter of 2021.

This is a breakthrough that came earlier than expected, says Anders Dison, Sales and Marketing Director at Alelion Energy Systems AB. "We are ready to scale up production when more end-users in this segment show their interest."

The fully developed battery concept for special vehicles is in demand by several industries that want to reduce their climate footprint. It is intended for electrification of terminal tractors as well as logistic solutions.

“The order from KAMAG confirms the trend we see in logistics where the investments for the future is made to become more environmentally friendly," says Åsa Nordström, CEO of Alelion Energy Systems. "This is yet another evidence of an increasing demand and that the transition to electrification now is taking place also in the specialty vehicle segment."
