Alelion receives sixth follow-up order from the global special vehicle manufacturer Terberg Group worth SEK 8 million.
Since the two companies signed a cooperation agreement in 2018 Alelion has received orders for high voltage battery systems corresponding to in total SEK 48 million.
The new order, which is the third order this year, worth SEK 8 million, will be delivered during the fourth quarter of 2021. The order also includes service agreements.
Terberg's previous orders are in production at Alelion's battery factory in Gothenburg. The serial production of these high voltage battery systems started during the fourth quarter 2020 when the new electrified terminal tractors started to reach the market.
"The order is a confirmation of the high interest for electric driven vehicles where Terberg is a market leader within the segments of logistic solutions which is shunting at port terminals and distribution centers" says Åsa Nordström, CEO of Alelion Energy Systems.
Alelion Energy Systems develops and manufactures customized battery systems with lithium-ion technology, which replace fossil fuels in various types of special vehicles. In collaboration with Terberg Group, Alelion has developed a battery system for electric terminal tractors, which is used for transport at distribution hubs, port terminals, airports and in industries.
Terberg Group is among the largest independent manufacturers of special vehicles with its own operations in twelve countries. The products include terminal and Ro-Ro tractors.
In recent years, Alelion Energy Systems has increased its investments in more advanced high-voltage battery systems for special vehicles. The company has received a number of important orders in the segment and have now started serial production.
