Alfa Laval invests 100 MSEK in one of their Swedish manufacturing units. Alfa Laval, a world leader in centrifugal separation, heat transfer and fluid handling, has decided to invest approximately 100 MSEK in the manufacturing unit in Lund, Sweden. This unit is dedicated for production of plate heat exchanger. Commenting upon the decision to invest 100 MSEK in a Swedish manufacturing unit, Mr. Sigge Haraldsson, President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group, says: "The decision to invest shows courage to take the right decision at the right time in order to continue to strengthen our global leading position in the heat transfer market. It clearly shows that the Alfa Laval Board is committed to put power behind our growth strategy." The investment includes machinery as well as a new building, of about 5,000 square meters, in direct connection to the existing manufacturing unit. The planning starts immediately and the new unit will be ready early 2005.
