Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has received an order for Alfa Laval Packinox custom-designed heat exchangers from a major Chinese oil corporation. The order value is about SEK 110 million and deliveries will take place during 2008. Alfa Laval has received four big orders for the Alfa Laval Packinox heat exchangers during the fourth quarter this year with a total order value of about SEK 400 million.

“I am very pleased to see how the acquisition of Packinox has developed”, says Lars Renström, CEO of the Alfa Laval Group. “When we acquired Packinox we not only acquired a unique product range we also got a new channel to the refinery and petrochemical market.”

The equipment will be used in the catalytic processing sections in the manufacture of mixed xylenes, which are feedstock for various petrochemical end products such as PET and polyester. The equipment will be part of an aromatic complex in the Guangdong Province.
