Alight reinforces senior team

Stockholm, 6 May 2025: Alight, a leading Nordic solar power developer and independent power producer (IPP), is announcing three new members of the senior team. Stockholm-based Mia Engnes has joined Alight as Head of Procurement and Construction, while London-based Rob Stait and Paul Walker have joined as Managing Director of Behind-the-Meter (BtM) and as a member of the company's board of directors, respectively.

Mia Engnes - Head of Procurement and Construction
Mia Engnes has over 20 years’ experience in project management and leadership. Before Alight, Mia was a project director at renewable energy solutions provider OX2 and led gigafactory development and production plans at Northvolt. Before transitioning to the impact sector, Engnes worked at Swedish pulp and paper manufacturer Billerud and multinational food packaging and processing Tetra Pak.

Rob Stait - Managing Director, Behind-the-Meter (BtM)
Rob Stait is Managing Director of Alight’s onsite (BtM) business. Stait joined from VivaCity, an AI technology business serving the mobility infrastructure sector, where he was Chief Revenue Officer and led its scale-up across ten countries to category market leadership. He has significant experience in funding, leading and scaling infrastructure and sustainability tech businesses. He has held commercial leadership and board level positions at a number of VC- and PE-backed startups and large corporations, and brings a wealth of expertise in the utilities and energy sector. Stait leads Alight’s European BtM work from the London office.

Paul Walker - Board Member
Paul Walker has been a senior adviser to Alight and a member of the investment committee for several years and he has now joined the company board. He is a seasoned renewable energy executive with a background in finance. Walker is a passionate advocate for clean energy and has global experience, having worked and led teams in both Europe and North America. Notably, Walker was CEO of California-based solar company ForeFront Power and CFO (Americas) at RES, as well as advising Galileo and currently serving as executive chairman of REC Solar.

Alight has started 2025 with remarkable momentum. In the past few weeks, Alight has finalized Sweden’s largest solar park (64 MWp) with food retailer Axfood, and two solar parks with fashion retailer H&M, as well as announced a PPA with Autoliv in Finland. The company has announced three project-specific finance facilities with institutional investors and expanded into Denmark as new company CEO Warren Campbell eyes growth and opportunities across the market.
