Alimak Group increases BMU scope for Sydney Harbour Bridge
In addition to the large order awarded for Sydney Harbour Bridge in October 2017, Alimak Group’s Manntech in Australia has received confirmation of increased scope for the project, increasing the value by approximately MSEK 80.
In October 2017, the NSW Government signed the original contract worth MSEK 170 which is the largest order ever awarded to Alimak Group.
To overcome various structural and heritage challenges, the total scope of the project has now been increased to a value of approximately MSEK 250.
Design and engineering works are nearing completion, with the equipment to be progressively manufactured and installed.
The additional project value will be booked in Q3 2019 in Alimak Group’s Industrial Equipment business area.
“We are pleased to increase the scope of the project and to continue our collaboration to make sure the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge remains in top condition. It is an intricate construction and our Manntech brand is up to the task as it has a long history of innovation in delivering access solutions for the world’s most complex architectural structures”, says Tormod Gunleiksrud, CEO Alimak Group.
