“We are very proud to have received this order from Statoil and to be part of the exciting Johan Sverdrup project. The order confirms that our strategy to offer a broad range of vertical access solutions to suit different application areas and industries has made Alimak an even more attractive and competitive supplier and business partner”, says Tormod Gunleiksrud, CEO of Alimak Group.

The order will also have a positive effect on Hordaland region in Norway, as companies in the region will supply the majority of work and goods. The project will during peak production engage approximately 50 workers at Heis-Tek and its suppliers.

Alimak acquired Heis-Tek in June 2014 as part of the strategy to further expand and strengthen its product and service offering of Industrial vertical access solutions. Through the acquisition, Alimak also broadened its product portfolio from Rack-and-Pinion based technology to also include traction-based elevators. Alimak is one of few suppliers with the ability to provide a total elevator supply, service and inspection support offering on a global basis to the Industrial sector.
