First joint construction and BMU order for Alimak Group
Alimak Group was in 2017 awarded a contract from Chalegrove Properties Ltd to provide construction hoist equipment and services for the Landmark Pinnacle skyscraper in London. The Group has now secured an additional order of two BMUs for the building – showcasing the benefits of the integrated offering after the two large acquisitions.
The Landmark Pinnacle placed in Canary Wharf will, upon completion, be one of London’s tallest residential towers. The construction will run until 2020 and while most of the construction equipment was delivered in 2017, the integration of Facade Access Group has led to Alimak Group’s CoxGomyl brand now being awarded the contract for two 5000 series Building Maintenance Units for approximately MSEK 8.4.
CoxGomyl secured the project through building on the Group’s pre-existing and continuous relationship with Chalegrove Properties, the benefits of engineer cross-training currently underway as part of the integration project and a joint after-market offering through Alimak Service.
Engineering work has commenced and the BMU solutions will be delivered in mid-2019. CoxGomyl’s ability to meet the tight programme was a further reason behind being chosen as supplier.
“Chalegrove Properties was particularly interested in a stable, reliable supplier with a strong after-sales offering and good engineer availability in central London. Through the successful delivery of the construction hoists and common towers in 2017, we have proven that we can live up to their expectations. I am very pleased to see the way the Alimak and CoxGomyl teams have worked together to understand the customer’s needs which shows the customer benefit of the new, larger Group’s combined offering”, says Tormod Gunleiksrud, CEO Alimak Group.
