Allgon awarded Swedish 3G-supply agreement Allgon, the global supplier of radio-based infrastructure solutions, has been appointed 3G supplier of base station antennas and microwave radio equipment by Svenska UMTS Nät AB, the 3G infrastructure joint venture between Swedish mobile operators Telia and Tele2. According to the agreement, Allgon will provide Svenska UMTS Nät with PDH microwave links in their 3G networks. Also, Allgon has been appointed supplier of base station antennas for use in Svenska UMTS Nät's 3G networks. This is Allgon's third UMTS base station antenna agreement in Europe, following contracts signed with Orange and Cegetel. - The agreement with Svenska UMTS Nät is a major breakthrough for Allgon in the Microwave Radio field, and also a confirmation of our strong position in base station antenna sector.
