Allgon awarded USD 18 million repeater supplier agreement Allgon, a leading supplier of radio-based infrastructure solutions for cellular communications, has signed two general agreements with leading Chinese system integrator Beijing Telestone Technology Co. Ltd, in all worth USD 18 million. According to the agreements, Allgon will provide repeaters for CDMA- and GSM networks in China. "We are rapidly increasing our market share in the fast growing cellular market in Asia", said Jeff Bork, CEO of Allgon. The first agreement with Telestone Technologies includes provision of CDMA-repeaters for the Chinese cellular operator China Unicom worth USD 14 million. According to the agreement, Allgon will supply repeaters worth USD 4 million already in October and November. According to the second USD 4 million agreement, Allgon will provide GSM- repeaters to cellular operators China Unicom and China Mobile. A part of this agreement is fulfilled, since Allgon already has delivered repeaters worth USD 1,4 million. "These strategic appointments confirms the competence of our high quality repeater solutions. The agreements also confirms the advantage of using repeaters as an integrated part of the mobile infrastructure", said Jeff Bork. Repeaters for the Chinese market will be produced locally at Allgon's manufacturing facility in Wuxi, close to Shanghai, where a new repeater production line was initiated this year in addition to the existing antenna manufacturing.
