Allgon signs general agreement with Telenor Allgon Microwave has signed a general agreement with Telenor Telecom Solutions, a company within the Norwegian Telenor Group. The agreement, which initially extends over a period of two years, relates to Allgon's entire microwave radio range with a focus on Allgon Ethernet Radio Switch. "The agreement strengthens Allgon's position still further in the Scandinavian market. Telenor is a very interesting and advanced collaboration partner, with significant opportunities for the future. Telenor will also make use of our Ethernet Radio Switch with its unique functionality which will strengthen Telenor's competitiveness," says Stefan Wellenstam, President of Allgon Microwave. Telenor Telecom Solutions will market Allgon Ethernet Radio Switch to municipalities, public authorities and private companies for wireless broadband transmission of data and telephony between local area networks (LAN). Allgon's Ethernet Radio Switch offers customers Ethernet connection direct to the microwave radio, without unnecessary conversion. Allgon's Ethernet solution gives a capacity of up to 36 Mbit per second and manages port- based VLAN with up to four channels. In addition to the Ethernet traffic, up to four 2 Mbit per second signals can be connected for simultaneous transmission of telephony.
