Allgon System appointed exclusive supplier of indoor coverage solutions for Italian subways by Sirti. The key system integrator of Italian subway cellular networks, Sirti s.p.a., has appointed Allgon Systems, the global supplier of wireless infrastructure solutions, exclusive supplier of GSM and UMTS indoor coverage solutions. According to the agreement, Allgon Systems will provide Sirti with indoor coverage solutions, including multi band repeaters connected by fibre optics, to the Italian subway networks in Milan, Rome, Genoa and Naples. "The agreement with Sirti is a very important strategic agreement, since Sirti is the leading system integrator of Italian subway coverage solutions", said Lars Jehrlander, president of Allgon Systems. "This is also a breakthrough for us on the Italian wireless market, since Sirti appointed Allgon Systems in hard competition with other global wireless infrastructure suppliers" Coverage solutions for subway networks are very complex and demanding, in an obstructive environment. Allgon Systems repeater-based solution is designed for multioperator and multiband use. The indoor coverage solution for the Italian subway networks will manage GSM-traffic of four different networks in multi band modes. However, Allgon Systems' indoor coverage solution is also designed to simultaneously manage UMTS-traffic from the five Italian UMTS networks. The latest agreement with Sirti shows Allgon Systems' position as a leading global supplier of coverage solutions for subways, airports, shopping centres and office blocks.
