Wireless Solutions Bluetooth-products ready for shipment: Wireless Solutions Sweden AB (WSS), part of the Allgon group, is one of the first companies in the world to ship Bluetooth-applications to end- users. The products are part of WSS product family for wireless connection between laptop computers and printers. European distributors will receive volume-based shipments in December. - Discussions concerning Bluetooth have mainly been about prototypes and future scenarios, but now we are delivering Bluetooth products to the market, says Pär Bergsten, President of WSS. The products will initially be shipped to the European market. A German insurance company has carried out tests since June 2000. Approximately one hundred field sales people are using WSS printing equipment. The WSS products facilitates printing of supporting documentation for making proposals in the field and hence increases the productivity of the sales force. Facts: Wireless Solutions Sweden AB (WSS), which has its head office in Stockholm, develops products and systems for wireless communication. The company works with a broad technology base such as GSM, GPRS/EDGE, WLAN, Telemetry and Bluetooth. Through the HomeWave and BizzWave product families, WSS is alone in being able to offer complete W-LAN and Bluetooth product families for offices and homes. WSS's intention is to collaborate with large OEM companies which have marketing and distribution channels. The market for these is particularly industry, offices, work locations and private homes but also markets such as inventory-handling, alarms, healthcare and finance. The market for wireless solutions is as large as the number of cables currently attached to all computers, telephones and hands-free sets in the world.
