Alliance AutoGas network welcomes truck modification specialist, adding eight new certified conversion centers
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – January 21, 2013 – Fontaine Modification has joined Alliance AutoGas to provide fleets with clean, cost-effective propane autogas vehicle conversions. With more than 30 years experience as a truck modification leader, Fontaine brings eight vehicle modification centers in six states to the expanding Alliance network of certified autogas conversion centers and clean fuel providers.
“One of our strengths as a company is our ability to process alternative fuel system installations and truck modifications for thousands of vehicles in multiple locations consistently,” says Paul Kokalis, executive vice president of the Fontaine Modification Alternative Fuels Group. “This consistency means no surprises to our customers, just results.”
The Alliance AutoGas complete program for fleets includes vehicle conversions, fueling, on-site fuel station installation, data integration, training and ongoing technical support. Fontaine offers autogas conversion services at all of its modification centers across the country, including Denton, Garland and Laredo, Texas; Charlotte, N.C.; Dublin, Va.; Gainesville, Ga.; Springfield, Ohio; and Williamstown, W.V.
“We welcome Fontaine Modification to Alliance AutoGas,” says Stuart Weidie, president of Alliance AutoGas and founder of Autogas for America. “Alliance will continue expanding to meet demand from fleet operators looking to avoid high gasoline prices by switching to propane autogas. It’s clean, American-made and readily available now—autogas is the most practical fuel for fleets today.”
Propane autogas powers 18 million vehicles globally, making it the most widely used alternative fuel in the world. Autogas is also a domestically produced fuel, with 98 percent of the U.S. supply made in America. U.S. autogas fleets currently save around $1.50 per gallon on fuel compared to gasoline, and autogas vehicles reduce harmful emissions and pollutants by at least 30 percent.
