Allianz Global Assistance Wins Six National Travel Industry Awards
Allianz Global Assistance USA, a leading distributor of travel protection products and services*, was honored with six 2018 Magellan Awards from Travel Weekly, the travel industry’s most influential national trade publication. In total Allianz Global Assistance has won 24 Magellan Awards, including 12 gold, over the last seven years.
The awards recognized the company’s innovative travel technology, including the AgentMaxOnline travel agent portal and the TravelSmart™ mobile app, and marketing campaign and advisor resources like the AgentSmart newsletter. These awards were garnered in the Agency and Travel Agent categories. In 2018 alone, Allianz Global Assistance has received 22 industry awards within the categories of best travel insurance company, customer service excellence, innovative marketing campaigns, and top employer.
AgentMax Online, which claimed a 2018 gold and silver award, has won eight Magellans over the last five consecutive years as a top travel insurance booking platform. AgentMax has been helping travel advisors offer and disseminate for more than a decade. Recently upgraded features include a streamlined advisor onboarding experience, faster and more flexible online quotes, and enhanced sales tracking to ensure proper compensation. A new online storefront enables advisors’ clients to purchase travel insurance on their own through a link provided by the advisor, while still crediting the agency for the sale.
Earning a gold award, the TravelSmart** mobile app has won four Magellans to-date. The mobile app’s new, user-friendly design grants quicker access to essential travel information through a personalized home screen. Designed to be a global safety companion, TravelSmart offers a one-touch emergency call button, real-time flight status, and easier policy and claims management. The new Assistance Around Me map helps distressed travelers locate nearby emergency and medical services around the world.
Winning a 2018 gold and silver award, the “Become More” Marketing Campaign was developed by Allianz Global Assistance’s in-house creative team. This visually engaging campaign encourages travelers to become more inspired, more in touch, more enlightened, and more immersed through their travel experiences while knowing they are protected on their trip. A silver winner, Allianz Global Assistance’s AgentSmart monthly newsletter provides a digest of thought-provoking travel trends, training resources, and helpful sales and marketing tips for travel professionals to grow their businesses.
