NEW YORK TIMES TRAVEL SHOW CONTEST WINNERS EXPERIENCE ULTIMATE WEEKEND FOR TRAVEL ENTHUSIASTS
Leading travel insurer Allianz Global Assistance gave three travel enthusiasts – a blogger, travel agent and avid traveler – the ultimate weekend getaway to The New York Times Travel Show.
Style Island blogger Blake Mandelberg, MEI-Travel and Mouse Fan Travel agent Lori Rogers, and avid traveler Cat Crews, and their guests, toured New York, seeing the city’s top sites and meeting the travel industry’s top personalities; including breakfast with travel expert and publisher Mark Murphy; a curated tour of Lower-Manhattan with the author of Frommer’s EasyGuide to New York City, Pauline Frommer; and dinner with the top travel bloggers known collectively as the Travel Trifecta – Johnny Jet, Lee Abbamonte and Gary Arndt.
The three-night package included airfare, accommodation at Ink 48 – a Kimpton Hotel, meals with travel personalities, access to The New York Times Travel Show, a travel itinerary curated by Pauline Frommer and admission to iconic New York landmarks including the One World Trade Center, the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Winners also received an Allianz Travel Insurance “Go Bag” comprised of a GoPro, Portable Power Pack, Passport Holder with RFID Protection and a personally-signed Frommer’s EasyGuide to New York City.
