ALMA MEDIA PLANS TO SELL KOTI-LAPPI, A TOWN PAPER PUBLISHED IN KEMIJÄRVI
Alma Media’s subsidiary Alma Media Kustannus Oy is negotiating the sale of Koti-Lappi, a town paper published in Kemijärvi, to SLP Kustannus Oy. The parties aim to close the deal by 1 May 2015.
Koti-Lappi is published in the Kemijärvi, Pelkosenniemi, Savukoski and Salla area with a total print run of approximately 11,000 copies. The four employees will continue under the new management as so-called old employees.
In March, SLP Kustannus Oy bought Alma Media’s newspaper business in Kainuu. The company and its owners currently publish small town papers and local papers in Northern Finland.
