ALMA MEDIA SELLS ITS STAKE IN RANTAPALLO OY

Alma Media has today sold its stake (79%) in Rantapallo to the minority owner TukTuk Media Oy.

TukTuk Media Oy is a company specialising in digital services that founded Rantapallo.  

Rantapallo was founded in 2007. It is a travel portal focused on travel content and low-cost last-minute departures, with a revenue of MEUR 0.5 in 2022.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction price. The transaction does not have a significant impact on Alma Media’s result.

“In accordance with Alma Consumer’s strategy, we are focusing on digital services in the housing and automotive sectors, comparison services and media.  We wish the service all the best in the future,” says Kari Kivelä, the SVP of Alma Consumer.

“We are excited to acquire all the shares in Rantapallo. Now we can develop the service entirely from our own starting points. Rantapallo has a strong market position in its target audience, and we aim to make it even stronger. We thank Alma Media for our journey together,” says Jani Uljas, the CEO of TukTuk Media.
