JUSSI KÄRKI APPOINTED EDITOR-IN-CHIEF OF TALOUSELÄMÄ

Jussi Kärki (52) has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of business weekly magazine Talouselämä. Since 2016, Kärki has acted as the Head of Political and Financial Newsrooms at MTV and from 2009 to 2016 as a journalist covering politics and the economy at MTV News. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2009, Kärki served as a sub-editor and financial editor at Kauppalehti.

“At MTV News, I have followed the financial and political decisions and decision-makers for the past ten years.  I believe that the networks I have built over those years will be useful in my new post and that I can help and support the team behind Talouselämä,” says Jussi Kärki.

“I greatly appreciate Talouselämä and its editorial team, the best professionals in financial journalism. In an age of clickbait headlines, we need increasingly more in-depth information and quality journalism. Talouselämä is among the first to offer this,” Kärki continues.

“In Jussi Kärki, we are getting a strong and well-known professional to develop the high-quality content brand of Talouselämä. Under his leadership, the digital Talouselämä will become an even stronger interpreter of the business and macro economies. I wish Jussi and the editorial team great success,” says Arno Ahosniemi, the head of Alma Talent’s Finnish editorial team and the Executive Editor-in-Chief of Kauppalehti.
