TALENTUM SWEDEN AB CONCLUDES ITS CO-DETERMINATION NEGOTIATIONS

Talentum Sweden has completed the co-determination negotiations that were started on 14 April. The negotiations concerned all Talentum Sweden companies and were held under the Swedish Co-Determination in the Workplace Act (MBL). The aim of the negotiations was to achieve cost savings in the production of editorial content and reorganise the functions to meet the requirements of digital media.

The negotiations concerned 47 employees. The reorganisation will result in the reduction of 11 employees by the end of the year. The reduction was achieved through natural attrition, voluntary retirement and severance packages. No-one was dismissed due to redundancy, and the negotiations concluded on amicable terms.

– Talentum, as well as the entire sector, is facing challenges caused by the rapid changes in consumers’ behaviour due to digitisation. We must make our organisation more flexible and develop our editorial expertise also in the field of digital media, says Peter Edhäll, EVP of Talentum Media Ab.
