TALOUSELÄMÄ WILL UNDERGO A REDESIGN

The largest financial magazine in the Nordic countries, Talouselämä, published by Alma Talent, will undergo a redesign. A new online service will be launched today, Wednesday 4 October 2017, and the first redesigned magazine will come out on Friday.

The Talouselämä magazine and its online service will feature more extensive content and offer an even closer look at the news relevant to the economy and society, providing in-depth background information. The analysis and reports offered by Talouselämä offer its readers unique insight into decision-makers and businesses and, in addition, keys for success at work and understanding the phenomena of working life.

In the future, all the Talouselämä content will be available on the talouselama.fi website, which is optimised for computers, tablets and smartphones. The redesign also sees some of the articles on the website moved behind a paywall, accessible only to subscribers.

“In the future, Talouselämä will be more successful in meeting the needs of the readers, who want to understand the background and consequences of events and phenomena. In a world that is growing increasingly complex, fewer things are black-and-white, and understanding the reasons behind them will help both companies and individuals in making better decisions,” explains Emilia Kullas, Editor-in-Chief.

“The Talouselämä redesign follows the Alma Talent media strategy: we have a strong belief in paid digital content and high-quality journalism. We offer easy-to-use content in different channels, so that the customer can decide which format to consume our content in—print or digital. Our financial and trade content is designed to benefit the reader, which makes it easy for the reader to find it worth subscribing to, also in digital format,” says Juha-Petri Loimovuori, CEO at Alma Talent.

Alma Talent is also continuously developing new marketing solutions for advertisers. With the Talouselämä launch, a new advertising solution will be available, offering readers an opportunity to redeem the first month of subscription free of charge by watching a video advertisement from the insurance company LähiTapiola. New content marketing solutions will also be introduced at the Talouselämä website, and they will integrate advertiser contents into the flow of news. However, the advertiser contents will always be clearly distinguishable and feature a distinctive mark.

Talouselämä, established in 1938, is a financial medium, with a weekly reach of 335,000 readers (Finnish National Readership Survey, spring 2017). Talouselämä is part of Alma Talent, which publishes 20 financial and trade media in Finland and Sweden, including Kauppalehti, Talouselämä, Affärsvärlden, Tekniikka&Talous and Tivi. In addition to its diverse media portfolio, Alma Talent offers a broad range of information services and efficient business and skills development tools.
