THE ETUA LOAN COMPARISON SERVICE TO BE WHOLLY OWNED BY ALMA MEDIA

Alma Media has acquired the remaining share capital to become the full owner of Etua Oy, a company offering loan and insurance comparison services. Alma Media Corporation had previously a 60% shareholding in Etua Oy. The parties have agreed not to disclose the price of the transaction.

Established in 2008, Etua.fi is the longest-operating loan comparison service in Finland. In March 2018, Alma Media Corporation acquired 20% of the company’s share capital through a directed share issue and, in May 2019, 40% of the company’s share capital. In 2020, the loan comparison service had MEUR 1.7 in revenue.

The Etua.fi service allows users to compare consumer credits and housing loans. The company works in co-operation with over 25 financial sector companies and forwards the loan applications submitted through the online service to its partners. The service is always free of charge for the consumer. So far, Etua.fi has already served more than 250,000 Finns in their daily financial affairs. The company is a housing loan agent registered by the Financial Supervisory Authority.
