The objective is to contribute to the conclusion of a fair climate agreement by advancing the debate on climate justice. It brings together people from all walks of life that believe that a low-carbon economy and a sustainable world is possible. It is web-based and interactive, and open to everyone – it offers a platform to discuss and engage with decision makers, NGO's and progressive business. In December 2009 the third and final Road to Copenhagen conference will take place in the two cities of Malmö and Copenhagen. For more information about the initiative please contact our content director Dr. Minna Gillberg through www.roadtocopenhagen.org What can business do to support Climate Justice? The Road to Copenhagen climate initiative wants to endorse the following eight principles - developed by Kofi Annan and the Global Humanitarian Forum – as a basic ethical benchmark for business action on climate justice: 1. Take responsibility for the pollution you cause. 2. Act according to capability and capacity. 3. Share benefits and burdens. 4. Respect and strengthen human rights. 5. Reduce risk to the minimum. 6. Integrate solutions. 7. Act in an accountable, transparent and reliable manner. 8. Act NOW!
