TAMPA, FL, (September 26, 2012) Amae Plastic Surgery Center, a Michigan-based practice, has improved patient service with the implementation of an advanced Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. The practice selected eClinicalWorks, a leading provider of EMR systems for doctors, hospitals and healthcare providers.
Through an innovative patient portal, patients of Amae Plastic Surgery Center now have secure online access to allow review and updating of their medical history, sending messages directly to Amae, access to patient registration forms, prescriptions, refills and lab reports, as well as receiving appointment reminders, reviewing billing statements and even paying bills online.

The new EMR system contains a patient’s medical history and allows healthcare providers to exchange data electronically. Information can be shared between doctors, hospitals, labs, pharmacies and more, allowing a patient’s medical history to effectively move with them through the healthcare system. All patient data is securely stored and access is compliant with all government standards and requirements, including those mandated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Continuity of Care Record (CCR), Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and the Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP).
